- My thoughts on the above, to Mr. Bruckheimer et al: PLEASE DON'T SUCK. I played the PoP game you based this film on to the point of insanity. My mother got addicted to watching me play and was my loyal backseat driver for a huge chunk of it. This game is my high school years. Looks like you've fed the story some steroids, which is fine, because it looks like you've got the visuals to back it up. So you changed the princess's name for no reason, your "Persian" prince is white like wonderbread and everyone speaks the king's English. You preserved the witty banter and the crazy parkour platforming. JUST PLEASE DON'T SUCK. (Also, did he seriously say "a-sand-ssins"? Say no, Mr. Bruckheimer. Say no.)

So...who thinks Mary Anne should come down with the flu and become convinced she's chosen by God to save France? I have Fun Ideas involving illness versus tarot powers.

Am working on getting caught up on tags. Made the mistake of sleeping in my contacts last night which left me with ridonkulous light sensitivity for most of the day. Watched movies with a blanket over my head.

Pretty sure I've come up with my most ambitious cosplay idea to date. It's not something I'd be able to do in the coming year, maybe for the year after, because it's going to be architectural as much as sewing and will involve armor and all kinds of crazy shit. But as far as I know, nobody's done it before and that needs to change. Plus I picked up canon again this week and remembered just how much I love the character. (Vague Kat is vague! XD But you're welcome to try and guess.)

Um...those are all my thoughts for now, but there's always a decent chance for music later. Peace out, kids.

Been on a very random writing binge lately. Still plugging away at prompts for the kink meme, got sucked into a Sleeping-Beauty-inspired M_M crossover, and I must have been spending too much time on issenterprise because now I've also got the makings of a Mirrorverse AU/M_M crossover and ooooh it's so fucked up but I'm writing it all the same and we'll see if it ever gets posted.

Also curious as to the workplace's policy on Halloween. Not sure what I'll wear if they're cool with it since pretty much all of my costumes are either sexually inappropriate, ones no one would get, or ones no one would get and sexually inappropriate. Maybe I'll just wear a lot of black and my vampire fangs. Hm...

I finally saw Jennifer's Body on Friday night. I went in expecting popcorn harmless fare and came out both more amused, scared and meta than I ever anticipated. It is (to steal my friend Jaci's description) like Mean Girls meets Ginger Snaps with a dash of The Exorcist. Go see it.

Two days ago, the great st_anon announced she would be closing the Star Trek XI Kink Meme. I completely understand her reasons and the fact that she's kept up with this juggernaut since May is astounding to me. Still, it's the end of an era, and the end of an era deserves to be commemorated.
