My role play brainmeats have just dried up of late, and I am doing my damndest to rehydrate them. TAGS WILL COME. EVENTUALLY. (Maybe I'll make a party post or something in one of the sandboxes to get the creative juices flowing.)

That being said, I'm also flogging the shit out of writing muse, trying to finish a piece I wanted done in October. Eh, December rhymes.

Speaking of December...we're circling the one year anniversary of the Great Livejournal Emancipation. I'm thinking of doing an anniversary prompt meme/journal warming post on the day after Christmas, so watch this space, kids.

Now seems as good a time as any to mention that I am in the path of the snor’eastercane/stormpocalypse/that bitch named Sandy, so if I drop off the internet between tomorrow and Tuesday without any further comment, the weather can probably be blamed.

(I mean “drop off the internet” in a “I’ve lost power way,” not in a “a tree has fallen through my roof and smooshed me flat, while I claw futilely at my laptop, wanting to see one more good gifset before I die.” Just wanted to make sure that was clear.

Besides, they cut down the only potential smooshing tree after the last hurricane.)

If I've seemed particularly scarce on the internets of late, it's because I've been getting some real life ducks in a row in preparation for tomorrow, when I head out on a two week vacation.

(See me still finding the silver lining to unemployment :D?)

I'm road tripping it to Texas with Mom, in part to visit family but mostly to spend some quality time in a state I haven't gotten to hang in for a long, long time.

I'll have internet connectivity in the evenings, so slowtimes will continue apace albeit...slowly. I'm going to try and tag up some threads before I crash tonight; the rest I'll hit from the road.

One of the few perks of unemployment is the ability to cram in mini-vacations wherever one can. So! I'm sneaking away for pretty much the rest of the week for sun and/or fun.
